dad was in the army.. were you a born in or a convert?.

by Dagney intell us a little about yourself and your family.. i was born and raised in southern california, with a brief stint with parents as need-greaters in central america.
my parents accepted a study in the d2d work, i believe my father was interested in the revolutionary aspect of the religion, and my mom said she wanted to learn the bible.
they were baptized in 1937 i think, and attended the one and only los angeles kh at the time.

my mother introduced me to her jw world when i was 12. i had to attend the weekly book study....boring!!!!
plus the disney tv show was on tuesday eve 8 to 9 and once a month they did a space show......no matter how hard i tried couldn’t get out of that bk study.

A Story: "When Things Get Really Bad"
by TerryWalstrom induring the great depression in the 1930's people lost their jobs.banks closed, and long lines formed in the streets called "bread lines".people got up early and had to stand in line all day to get a free loaf of bread to feed their family!caution: do not read this story if you have empathy or compassion________ "when things get really bad".
in a cabin in the appalachian mountains, there was a family of four: two children (a boy and a girl), a mom and a dad (who had lost his job at the local sawmill).. things looked really bleak.
the children were afraid they'd starve to death.. "mommy," said the little boy, "are we going to die?".

then, a month or two later, another one of my ‘worldly’ mates (dan) asked me “are you going out with emma?” i told him no.
dan had also asked rob himself and rob had said that he wasn’t involved with emma.

My Belief in Prayer
by compound complex inmy belief in prayer was once bolstered by my strong attachment to what i had read in aid to bible understanding.
my having a part in its initial prep in the factory and, later, a detailed proofing of thousands of references to it made this bible dictionary an influence in my former life.
please note this extract on jehovah's seeming delay in the answering of prayer.

Life during the 1,000 reign???
by Joliette inme and my brother recently got into a discussion about the 1,000 reign.
i told him that even after armageddon, you know that you still have to work for your salvation??
he says yes, that he is prepared to work for jehovah (wth), and that it will be a wonderful time.
